Urgent – LBC Mission Project
Everyone is heartbroken at what Western NC is having to endure.  LBC has adopted Pine Branch Baptist Church in Bakersville, NC.  Preacher Teddy and Saundra are friends with the pastor, Bruce and Wendy Cannon.  Their church is a distribution site for items that have been donated.  In lieu of physical items at the current time, they have requested financial donations to purchase kerosene heaters, gas stoves, and fuel for both for many community members who are without heat and power, and have been told it may be January before they have these.  Preacher Bruce has been in touch with Lowes and Home Depot who are selling kerosene heaters at cost.  Our financial donations will be used to purchase what the community members need.  There are Mission Envelopes in the pews at church if you would like to donate.  Each week we will send a check to Preacher Bruce to purchase more of what his community members are in need of.  The needs change week to week, day to day, hour to hour.  If you would like to mail a check to us to get to them, our address is Lilesville Baptist Church, PO Box 305, Lilesville, NC  28091.

Birthday Calendar

There is a birthday/anniversary calendar for 2025 on the bulletin board in the hallway.  Please check to make sure your name is on your birthday and your anniversary.  Please make any additions, changes, deletions as this is what is printed each month, as well as announced by Teddy each week.  If you know of a church member that is not on the calendar, please add them as well.

New Wednesday Evening Pick-up
Moving forward on Wednesday nights, all children will have the opportunity to play from 7:30-7:45pm either inside the fenced-in area or the circle ball area.  No children will be allowed to walk around the buildings.  At 7:45pm, any child not picked up will be walked into the fellowship hall to wait until their ride is at church.  Our House and Grounds team will be blocking off the drive where people will not be allowed to drive through in front of the fellowship hall.  Our children’s safety is our number one concern.  Thank you for your cooperation.
 
Happy Hearts
Happy Hearts will will be going to The Smoke Pit September 6th.  We will leave the church at 4:00pm.  
Monthly Fellowship Meal
Our monthly Fellowship Meal will be Wednesday, September 10th, at 6:30pm.
Mission groups will meet following the meal.
Please note the time change.  We are trying to keep everything at the same time to reduce confusion!

 

Helping Hands and Willing Hearts
Helping Hands and Willing Hearts will be participating in a Street Ministry in Rockingham September 13th.  We will meet at the church at 8:30am

 

Bible Drill Information 

Bible Drill Sunday evening activities will resume for children Sunday this  evening.  Bible Study Time will be from 5:30-6:00 and Supervised Play from 6:00-6:30pm.  Everyone should be picked up at 6:30pm.  Bible Learners will be grades K-3.  Bible Drill will be grades 4-6.  There will be a youth group as well grades 7-12.  The Older Children Children’s Church will continue throughout the year.  The leader and the verse being studied will be on the back of the bulletin each week.

 

Monthly Churchwide Breakfast
Our monthly Churchwide Breakfast will be Sunday, September 14th at 9:00am.
Monthly Business Meeting
Our September Business Meeting will be Sunday, September 14th, at 5:30pm.
Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends will meet September 25th.  Our mission for this month is Hope Pregnancy.  Items needed are Desitin/Diaper Cream, Pull-Ups 2T-4T, baby lotion baby wash, and boys 2T summer clothing.

Wednesday Bible Studies
Wednesday, September 4th, our Bible Study will be held at Wadesboro Health & Rehab at 6:15 pm.
Wednesday, September 18th, our Bible Study will be held at Meadowview Assisted Living at 4:00 pm.  We will then have Prayer Meeting at the church at 6:30pm.
Church Library  
The College and Career Class has started a small library.  Books are checked out on the honor system that they will be returned in a timely fashion.  Please stop by and see what books they have to offer.
MeMa’s Meals Devotions
As we deliver meals, now known as “MeMa’s Meals”, we would like to give out prescription bottles that are filled with Bible verses and other encouraging phrases.  These will be labeled as “Take as Needed for a Little Lift”.  Please donate pill bottles, or encouraging verses/phrases on the teacher’s desk in Peggy Gatewood’s classroom.
WMU Reminders
WMU will be collecting 5-lb bags of self-rising flour for the Crisis Ministry the month of September.
