Our Mission & Vision

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

      Pastor Teddy Lawson

I have been the Pastor of Lilesville Baptist Church since June 2006. Married to Saundra H. Lawson, together we serve as a team with over 33 years of ministry experience in North Carolina.

I attended Carolina Bible College in Fayetteville, NC, graduated from the University of Pembroke with a degree in Religion and Philosophy and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

As Pastor, I feel that it is an honor and privilege to minister here at Lilesville Baptist Church and the community. The greatest interest that I have is serving the Lord and having Christian fellowship with His people. I feel that it is very important to witness to the lost, as well as minister to the sick and hurting in our community. I encourage God’s people to love one another and edify one another as God’s Word teaches us to do so. I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and is to be preached in it’s entirety.

My desire is to serve the Lord to the best of my ability under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

I enjoy spending time with my family, for I feel that the unity of the family is very important. I also enjoy hiking in the mountains and resting in the beauty of God’s creation.

Please feel free to come worship with us as all grow together in God’s Word and wait for His glorious return.

God Bless you,
Teddy

     Saundra Lawson, Music Director

“I began serving as Minister of Music at Lilesville Baptist Church in 2009. I hold an Associates Degree in Fine Arts (Music) from Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, NC.

I love music and enjoy working with our Choir and Praise Team. I feel that music is a very important part of our worship service as it prepares the hearts of our congregation in praise to our Lord. I also enjoy studying and teaching God’s Word, as well as leading in women’s Bible studies.

One of my favorite Bible verses is: “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20.
In Christ,
Saundra
